"homophobia is the fear that gay men will treat you the way you treat women" more like "i’m under the misconception that homophobia only affects gay men"

Hi! I saw the post on J. K. Rowling and how she feels about fat people, and since you haven’t read Harry Potter, I thought it might be a good idea to bring up some links that talk about it a bit more in-depth. My friend did a review of the early chapters of Harry Potter (linked above) which has a good discussion of how often fatness = bad in HP. This link also talks about it a bit: http://bugchat.tumblr.com/post/78486464108/casual-reminder-that-harry-potter-had-a-lot-of and this link talks about it specifically in relation to the Dursleys: http://kataphatic.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/dudley-dursley-and-the-over-indulged-fat-child-straw-man/

I feel like the TV show GIRLS is a metaphor for liberal feminism: it’s a bunch of wacky bullshit that doesn’t really challenge anything but gets passed off as progressive because there’s a bunch of white women doing whatever the fuck they want

[Image: Cute drawings of three couples, each with a label indicating what kind of couple they are: a gay cis man and bisexual trans man, a lesbian trans woman and a pansexual cis woman, and two polysexual nonbinary individuals. Underneath each is the caption: “We are a queer couple able to reproduce.”]

boku-no-poltergeist:

can we stop referring to all sex that could possibly result in pregnancy as “heterosexual reproduction” now

YESSSSSSSS

(Also, “pregnant person” does not necessarily mean “woman” for the seventy-millionth time)

which fucking fedora wearing friendzoned nerd made this thing

yeah but notice that the seal’s intent is to eat those fish and the shark offers a mutually beneficial relationship for them
in which a dudebro unintentionally makes a really accurate analogy for the reason that they’re single forever

That’s a whale shark. They’re docile and in no way threatening to people or those fish depicted. Seals, by contrast, will attack people, possibly out of a frustrated sense of entitlement combined with poor socialization skills.

Well that backfired spectacularly.

This is in every way perfect irony. It’s beautiful.

reblogging for dem comments :D

This was glorious.

I need a cigarette after reading that.
